Today was the day of the shoot. Last night I double checked with all my actors about times, locations and what they needed to bring. I also prepared the costumes and the blood stained sheet.
Jolie and Jake were the first to arrive at my house at 11:00, I talked them both through what was going to happen throughout the day until my crew arrived. We went to the location of the hotel scenes and then made our way to the supermarket for our first shot.
It proved problematic finding an area with few people in the supermarket, people were unaware of filming so would often walk into shot or make a lot of noise near the camera. After we eventually got the shot we went back to the location of the hotel scenes and set up the lights and camera for the next shots. Once the other actors arrived at 12:30 we quickly got on with filming the scenes. The scenes in the hotel room took the longest to film. I decided to film all of John's lines before I filmed Farah's as it would be quicker and would allow for less camera and light adjusting.
The shooting schedule was precise as we finished each scene in the time predicted. We finished the shoot at 5.30.
Overall I think today went really well, everyone worked great together and put a lot of effort in. I very pleased with the outcomes of today.

Main Task- The Location
After trying for weeks to find a hotel that would allow me to film I decided it would be easier to try and recreate my own. I am planning to use the following house to film the scenes for the hotel and the scene in which Farah flashes back to killing a man. I moved most the furniture and the pictures out the room before using pieces of furniture to make a bed (made out of a sofa and a coffee table).

How I will put it together:
I will need to record sections of dialogue twice during the filming as to make sure I have useable dialogue for the trailer.
How it will be effective:
Males and females from 15 to 30
- Use recorded dialogue from the actors and put it into either Final Cut or Garageband
- Record voice over
- Add the music
- Find appropriate sound effects
- Microphone/ Sound recording equipment
- iMac
- Final Cut or Garageband software
I will need to record sections of dialogue twice during the filming as to make sure I have useable dialogue for the trailer.
How it will be effective:
- The music is different to that used in most film trailers- it is classical and hard hitting, creating an immediate atmosphere and feel of the film.
- The quotes will suggest the plot without revealing too much
- The voice over will tell the audience when it will be released as well as the title and names of the actors
- It is short and provokes futher interest

Main Task- Diary Entry 21/01/2012
My new actor to take to role of John is called Keith Heppenstall- he is local actor based in Peterborough who is willing to play John on the 29th of January. Today I decided thay I could no longer wait for the hotels to get back to me and changed a room to look like a hotel room. I also bought two white shirts from a local charity shop to use for the film.

Main Task- Diary Entry 04/01/2012
The casting call ended today, and although I chose my actors, the actor I asked to play John is unable to attend the filming date. The solution to the problem was to message local actors in the Peterborough area and find a replacement. I have had several replies since sending the emails. The date I am planning on using for the film is the 29th of January. And I am currently putting towarder a production schedule to send to the actors.
